Friends of Quirindi Library Shenhua Grant

Publish Time:2014-05-28
The Friends of Quirindi Library recently hosted their annual Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council. At the morning tea they were also celebrating receiving $4,534 from the Shenhua Watermark Community Fund to purchase for the Library a number of "Ten Minute a Day" baby book packs.
The money was allocated to the FOQL following the approval of their grant submission to Shenhua Watermark's Community Fund program. Shenhua representatives formerly announced the allocation of funding during a presentation in Gunnedah on 19 May.
The "Ten Minutes a Day" baby book kits assist local mothers in teaching their children early literacy skills. The packs offer stories, rhymes, songs and music to make it a fun and interactive experience for infant participants.
