The NSW Minerals Council partnered with the Newcastle Knights to host the return of the Voice for Mining Family Day on 8 June 2014 at the Hunter Stadium in Newcastle.

The Voice for Mining Family Day aims to mobilise the mining workforce to send a strong and positive message about mining to the NSW Government and the community through a public demonstration of support for the industry.

Mining supporters attending on the day were encouraged to wear their high-vis vests and the stadium became a sea of orange making a big statement about the importance of mining and the support it has in NSW.

Shenhua Watermark was proud to show their support of the Voice for Mining Day with many staff making the long journey down from Gunnedah to attend.

The Newcastle Knights played in special replica high-vis miner's jerseys as a show of support for miners and all the good things mining brings to the region and our state.
